dwelling portrays a domestic setting that has been ransacked and reordered by some inexplicable event. it is a tangible expression of an extreme sort of anxiety: the fear that the one thing we can take for granted as a source of comfort and stability, our home, will itself be invaded and irreversibly altered by some uncontrollable force.
